Subscriber Update

Hello Subscribers,
Jump into your race car and fasten your seatbelt, it’s time for a Dicty World Race update! Currently we have three participating teams. The first team is from Washington University in St. Louis and their approach is to find the craftiest, fastest, wild amoeba out there in the soil and let them loose to win the field. The second team is from Houston Texas and their approach is to use a sample of the oldest submission of NC4 from the Dicty stock center. Finally, the last team is from the University of Groningen, Netherlands and their approach will be to fine-tune heterotrimeric G-protein signaling. At the moment we have three sponsors, Formedium, Mattek and Massachusetts General Hospital. We are looking forward to the race and getting more sponsors and teams to sign up! The current deadline for teams to sign up has been extended to August 31. We have recently updated our website and added the Dicty video chose for scientist image of the day on our website, a page about the organizers and testimonials from past racers in 2014. Don’t forget to check it out!

Thank you for your support,
Dicty World Race Organizers
